Volume A - Book
This collection
of classical piano music is designed to guide the intermediate student from the late sonatina to early sonata level. The repertoire was selected for its musical value, time-tested appeal and stylistic diversity. The attractive repertoire
appeals to students while inspiring them to want to learn. The quality of the
literature promotes both artistic and technical development.
The most innovative
feature is the sequential arrangement of the works. Traditional collections contain
a number of works without any guidance as to how the works should be presented to students, or in what order they can most
effectively be taught. This unique course takes away the guess work. The nine core-works are designed to be taught in
a specific sequence. The five supplementary works offer the teacher and student additional flexibility.
The music is laid
out clearly and spaciously, making it easy to read and convenient for teachers to include notes and comments to the student. Practical suggestions for fingering, pedaling, dynamics and articulation have been
tested successfully at the keyboard and in performance. These suggestions, derived
from years of hands-on experience, remain true to the composer’s intent while offering useful assistance to both the
student and teacher.
Volume A - CD
The CD was designed as a companion to the book and is considered an integral part of this piano series. Recorded by Christopher Liccardo, the editor of the series, the CD contains the entire repertoire presented

listening pleasure and inspiration for younger students. The recording was made

Volume B - Book
This collection of classical
piano music is designed for the student who has completed Repertoire for Intermediate
Pianists, Volume A or has reached the early sonata level. The repertoire
was selected to further develop the student’s pianistic abilities, while continuing to raise their technical mastery. The repertoire selected is diverse and pedagogically sound, yet it also appeals to
the student’s imagination. Once again, the quality of the literature, written
by the world’s greatest composers promotes the highest musical and artistic standards.
The works in Volume B are also
arranged in the most effective teaching sequence. This takes away the guess work
of traditional collections. The nine core-works provide the basis for maximum
progress, while the three supplementary works offer the teacher and student additional choices.

and spaciously, making it easy to read and convenient for teachers to include notes and comments to the student. Practical suggestions for fingering, pedaling, dynamics and articulation have been tested successfully
